Homeschool and Educational Anxiety - This lecture explores different kinds of homeschooling and educational anxiety, what causes anxiety, and offers ideas on how to work through and deal with parental fears about education outside of the culturally supported school paradigm. (1-1.5 hours)

Unradical Unschooling - The precepts of unschooling are fascinating and worth exploring, but are often lost in the extremes. This lecture goes over several of the unschooling principals from a moderate perspective. This lecture also explores the question of whether or not we need to label our homeschooling style in order to be successful.  (1-1.5 hours)

Real Cons of Homeschooling - Homeschooling is a great experience, but as with all things in life, it has its difficulties. This lecture explores the various challenges, especially for new homeschooling parents, that often are glossed over or ignored in homeschooling books and discussions. Every choice has cons, and in this session we will be honest about what they are, and what resources we have to deal with them. (1-1.5 hours)

From School to Homeschool - The transition from school to homeschooling is like moving from one country to another. The culture, practice, and resources are different than what we are used to, and it takes time to figure out where to get what we need. This lecture looks closely at the process of making the practical and emotional transition from school to homeschooling, and what parents and children can expect from this experience. (1-1.5 hours)

Knitting Intro - A basic introduction to knitting. Max. 10 students. All ages. (For children who cannot write yet, an adult helper is recommended.)  (1-1.5 hours)

Knitting Workshop - Already know the knit stitch? This workshop will introduce participants to new stitches and techniques, and provide an opportunity to work with other knitters. (1-1.5 hours)

Intro to Homeschooling in California - This lecture series includes several modules covering all the basic information about getting started homeschooling in California. Each module is 1 hour long. Mix and match to appeal to the needs of your audience. The entire program can be done in one day, or split into a two-day series.
